Henderson Extends Liverpool Contract to 2025
Liverpool captain and midfielder, Jordan Henderson, will remain at Anfield after signing a four-year contract.
Per reports, the 31-year-old Englishman signed the contract on Tuesday, 31 August, which will see him staying at the club until June 2025 for an undisclosed fee.
Henderson first joined the Reds in 2011 – since then, he has scored 30 goals in 394 appearances, and helped them hoist the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup trophies, among others.
Additionally, he has won several personal accolades including England Senior Men’s Player of the Year 2019 and Liverpool Fans’ Player of the Season 2019-20.
Speaking to Liverpool’s website about his contract extension, Henderson commented: “I’m obviously very honoured and proud to continue the journey I’ve already been on here. It’s amazing to finally get it done and just concentrate on looking forward and what the future may hold.”
He added: “I want to be here as long as possible … To continue this journey is incredible for me and my family, and I hope the fans and the club feel the same way.”
